8th and easy street tunnel

ROGERS, AR

AUGUST 2025

2 Walls - 120' x 9'

This project was completed for the city of Rogers, Arkansas. This 120-foot mural, going under 8th Street, was inspired by the local flora and fauna of the surrounding areas' parks and natural landscapes. These chosen species are of interest to me as an artist, as well as to the city of Rogers, in current and future ecological and conservation projects. The message "Hey Neighbor" on the west end of the tunnel welcomes visitors coming from Bentonville and beyond into Rogers. On the east end, "Rogers, AR" serves as a landmark to give a sense of place. The colorful geometric background brightens the tunnel and provides an immersive experience for pedestrians and bikers on the trail.

Native local plants such as cone flowers, milkweed, and ozark trillium are incorporated, as well as animals like Monarch Butterflies, and the Ozark Crawdads.

Special thanks to the city of Rogers, Kinya Christian, Rylie Carson, Jes Weiner, and Maddie Deen.
