Monticello Feels like Home
MONTICELLO, ARKANSAS
MARCH 2025
This project was completed for the Monticello Chamber of Commerce. We wanted to create a fun, original photo opp for visitors and locals to enjoy. The goal was to activate a space in an uplifting way, away from the busy traffic of downtown.
For the subject matter, I chose native local plants such as cone flowers, milkweed, bird's foot violet, and eastern bluestar. Monarch butterflies and the mockingbirds are also some of my favorite local natives I chose to incorporate into the design. I especially loved working with this color palette and how the retaining wall helps the mural feel more immersive.
