Herron High School

INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA
APRIL 2026
8' x 45'
This project was commissioned by Herron High School, made possible by a generous gift from the Lott-Manier Family in memory of David. Herron is a public charter school in Indianapolis, Indiana; it is also where Tom went to high school and graduated from in 2014.
Previously, this wall featured Tom's very first mural, completed in 2013, as a part of his Eagle Scout project. In this very full circle moment, it was only right that Tom design and lead us on this project. He designed a composition that resembles carved marble, a nod to the school's classical education style. The design highlights sports, activities, academics, and history of Tom's alma mater. References to the Achaean mascot, T.C. Steele, and even a historical photo from a figure drawing class make an appearance in the mural. Photos in the gallery below show some of these references and even a photo from when Tom painted the original mural back in 2013.
Special thanks to the Lott-Manier Family, Robin Knop, Trevor Renwick, and Carroll Bilbrey. This project was a joy to complete and holds a special place in our hearts.
